DOVER-FOXCROFT — Rowell’s Garage is proud to be one of only two AC Delco Consumer Assurance service centers in Maine and the only one within 100 miles of Dover-Foxcroft.
Simply put, when you have your vehicle serviced at Rowell’s using genuine AC Delco parts, the parts and repairs area are covered by a 24-month or 24,000-mile warranty, whichever comes first.

In addition, AC Delco Consumer Assurance includes roadside assistance. The problem doesn’t have to be related to a previous service call either, said service manager Tim Packard. “If you have a flat tire, need a tow or run out of gas, you’re covered,” said Packard. “The only thing you have to pay for are the fluids delivered, such as gasoline.”
The customer doesn’t even have to sign any paperwork to get into the AC Delco Consumer Assurance program, Packard said. “Once you bring your car into Rowell’s Garage for service, you’re automatically enrolled,” he explained.
Packard said that Rowell’s has only been an AC Delco Consumer Assurance dealer for about one year, and many people are pleasantly surprised when they find out they’re covered under the program. “In addition, being an AC Delco dealer means that our service techs are always taking training classes to keep up with new technology,” Packard said.
While AC Delco was traditionally known as a General Motors subsidiary for decades, that’s not the case anymore. The company was started by the founder of GM, William C. Durant, back in 1916.
But eventually, it became an aftermarket auto parts manufacturer for all makes and models from Buicks to Volkswagens. They offer a full range of chassis products, brake replacement, batteries and other electrical components, belts and hoses, thermostats, filters and more.

Filing a claim is easy. Present your original receipt to the repair facility for authorization. The installing repair facility will conduct the warranty repair. After the repair facility authorizes your receipt, the repairs will be made and you’ll be on your way.
AC Delco Roadside Assistance Roadside Assistance is provided only to the original purchaser of products and services from a member of the AC Delco Service Center Program for free. Roadside Assistance begins on the date identified on the original invoice from the participating facility and continues for a period of 24 months.
This benefit is available only to the original purchaser as identified on the original invoice and is not transferable. Coverage is strictly limited to the specific vehicle identified on the original invoice. Roadside service is available in the United States and Canada.
If you are in need of roadside assistance, just call 1-800-ACDelco, prompt 3, to be connected with the nationwide service provider. You must pay for the requested service — the service provider requires use of a credit card to arrange for dispatch.
However, you will be reimbursed for covered services up to a maximum of $75 per occurrence upon submitting the proper documentation as noted below.
The eligible services provided are:
1. Towing: Your vehicle will be towed to the nearest qualified repair facility or to the repair facility of your choice.
2. Lock Out Service: Assistance will be provided in unlocking your vehicle in the event the keys are lost or locked inside.
3. Flat Tire Changing Assistance: Assistance will be provided for the installation of your spare tire.
4. Fuel, Oil, Fluid and Water Delivery Service: An emergency supply of gasoline (where permitted), oil, fluid and water will be delivered to your vehicle. You must pay for the costs of the actual fluids delivered.
5. Jump Start: The service provider will jump start your vehicle in the event your battery becomes discharged. The driver of the vehicle must be with the vehicle when the service provider arrives, as roadside assistance cannot be provided to an unattended vehicle.
Call 1-800-AC Delco, prompt 3 to arrange for Roadside Assistance service. Reimbursement claims must be filed within sixty (60) days of the date of service.
