Bess nominated for McDonald’s All-American Game
Former Penquis Valley High School basketball star Isaiah Bess, who is currently a senior at Hampden Academy, is a nominee for the 2014 McDonald’s All-American Games. The contests in early April in Chicago feature 48 of the nation’s top high school basketball male and female seniors.
Bess, who will continue his basketball career at Div. II Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., was one of nearly 1,000 male players from across the country to be nominated. He joins Dustin Cole of Bonny Eagle High School in Standish and Aaron Calixte of the Lee Academy prep team as McDonald’s All-American nominees from Maine.
