Traditional family roles are important

To the Editor:
As I look over my 78 years, 39 have been living in Sangerville. As the years have gone by, I have noticed we have more and more men and women, as well at teenagers getting this attitude, “It’s all about me, myself and I.”

They think it’s OK to do what pleases them and don’t care who they hurt, and you have children growing up in broken homes.
This kind of attitude may be the reason we have over 21 million Americans that struggle with depression and 30,000 commit suicide each year, and I cannot leave out the increase in domestic violence each year.
Men, women, boys and girls, if you want to find and have a happy marriage pay close attention to these words.
The woman came out of the man’s rib; not from his feet “to be walked on.” Not from his head “to be superior;” but from the side “to be equal,” under the arm “to be protected” and next to the heart “to be loved.”
