Sheryl L. Farrar Russell

RUSSELL, Sheryl L. (Farrar), 54, Auburn, December 25, 2013. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 4, at 11 a.m., at the First Congregational Church, South Paris. Arrangements are in the care of the Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, South Paris.

    PO-SherylRussellOBAUBURN – Sheryl L. Farrar Russell, 54, of Abbot, died Wednesday, December 25, at the Hospice House. Her loving brother and Auntie Jean were at her bedside and holding her hand. She was born in Lewiston on October 4, 1959, the daughter of George and Janette Russell Farrar.
    She graduated from Oxford Hills High School and the University of Southern Maine with an Associate’s degree in nursing. She had been an emergency room nurse at Mayo Regional Hospital for 25 years. She worked with a battered women’s group, she had a warm finess with people. She was a CPR trainer and traveled to Nicaragua with a medical group. She was involved in many other training programs. Because of her work everyone knew her. She had many friends in the medical profession. Sheryl had a large extended family in the Dover-Foxcroft area that loved her and will miss her greatly.
    She is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Rusty) Farrar and his wife, Lisa of West Paris; her aunt and uncle, Jean and Lynn Foster of West Paris; her aunts, Marion Cooper of Michigan, Pauline Buckingham of Mexico, Maine, Frances Swett of Florida, Pat Hunt of Peru, Maine, Sharon Philbrook of Greene, and Pauline Langmaid and family; her uncle, Peter Russell and family; her nieces, Danielle and her husband, Jon of Colorado Springs, CO, and Alicia of Mass.; her nephews, Kyle and Colin both of West Paris; a great-nephew, Bronson of Colorado Springs, CO; cousins, Mike Smith and family, Rebecca Foster and Audrey Foster Monroe and husband, Corey; and other extended family.
    She was predeceased by her parents, Janette and George; her grandparents, Kenneth and Catherine Russell and Amy Farrar; and several aunts and cousins.

    Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 4, at 11 a.m., at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St., South Paris. Interment will be in the spring at Riverside Annex Cemetery.
