Lots in store for Sebec Village in 2014

To the Editor:
The Sebec Village Associates wish to thank the local business and individuals who supported their many fund-raising events this year. Because of the enthusiastic and generous response by so many, the Reading Room floor is being refinished this month and will be unveiled at the final SVA activity of the year, Soup and Stew with Santa on Saturday, December 14 at 4 p.m.

It has been an exciting year for Sebec Village with the third annual Breakfast and Silent Auction in August, the second annual Apple Festival in October, the incredible Chicken Barbecue, Canoe Race, 5K and more on July Fourth, numerous suppers, and hosting Bike Maine in September. Because of the extent of community support for these activities, the tired-looking Reading Room floor will be refinished the same year this project was announced.
The Sebec Village Associates will be focusing on updating the Reading Room heating system in 2014, and they are eager to host the following events in 2014: May 17, Bean Supper; July 4, Chicken BBQ, Parade and other holiday activities; August 16, Breakfast and Silent Auction; September 13, Community Picnic; October 18, Apple Festival; November 1, Chicken and Biscuit Supper; and December 13, Soup & Stew with Santa.
Mark your calendars now as the SVA members are already planning even more fun and food than offered in 2013.
