Ella Hope Belle Dulac
DOVER-FOXCROFT – Ella Hope Belle Dulac, 8, flew home on November 7, 2013, after a beautiful life full of joy, despite the struggles associated with her Leigh’s Disease. She was born August 28, 2005, in Bangor, the daughter of Mike and Kristin Dulac.
Ella was a first grade student at SeDoMoCha Elementary School. She loved school and all of her friends. Ella loved to spend time with her siblings. She especially loved it when they read to her. She enjoyed being surrounded by people and activity. She worked very hard every day and faced challenges with a smile. Her joy was contagious and she shared her light wherever she went. Ella did not wait for an occasion to celebrate and truly believed that every day should be celebrated, preferably with cake.
In addition to her parents, Ella is survived by her sister, Eliza; brothers, Adam, Alex and Aidan; great-grandmother, Kathryn Merrill; paternal grandmother, Louise Dulac; maternal grandparents, Ed and Nancy Danforth, all of Dover-Foxcroft, and Mike and Arvilla Collins of Rockland; and special aunt and uncle, Johanna and Lucas Greenfield and cousins, Molly, Abigail and Rebecca, all of Dover-Foxcroft.
Ella was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Merle Dulac; and her loving aunt, Sherry Dulac.
Ella will be greatly missed by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, devoted caregivers, and close friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of Ella’s doctors, nurses, and the entire staff at EMMC. As well, they say a special thank you to Dr. Amy Barrett, Dr. Jonathan Wood, and Child Life Specialist, Amy Baker.
A party in celebration of Ella’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Morton Avenue Gym in Dover-Foxcroft. The family invites you to come to honor Ella’s joyful spirit and, because Ella would have it no other way, we will be having cake.
