HELPING PEDIATRIC CANCER PATIENTS — Young members of the Brownville Community Church Ethan, Josie, Haley, Wyatt, Madison and Ashley accompanied by Rev. Ann Purdy and Morgan Cavagnaro present a check to EMHS Foundation President Michael Crowley. The funds raised by the church will benefit the EMMC Raish Peavey Haskell Children’s Cancer and Treatment Center.

“Knowing that one hundred percent of our gift is going directly to help Maine kids with cancer made a real difference to folks at the church,” Rev. Ann Purdy said. “We are proud of our efforts and thankful for all of the support we had from residents and businesses from Brownville and Milo to Bangor.” Fundraisers included a community memory tree, an auction and the church’s annual Taste of Chocolate event.
EMHS Foundation President Michael Crowley stated that children throughout the region will benefit from the generosity and dedication of church members. “Local children and their families now have a modern, comfortable space to receive their life-saving care because of donors like those at Brownville Community Church.”
