Katahdin cruise to benefit Friends of Squaw Mountain

GREENVILLE — An end-of-summer cruise is set for the steamship Katahdin on Saturday, Sept. 21 with all proceeds going toward the Friends of Squaw Mountain.
The cruise will also honor the memory of Weldon “Tunney” King  Jr. of Rockwood, who passed away on Sept. 3. He was a strong supporter of Squaw Mountain, and proceeds raised from the cruise will go toward building a warming hut at the top of the triple chair lift in his memory.

A dockside cocktail hour (BYOB) starts at 5:30 p.m. and a two-hour sunset cruise takes place from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Enjoy appetizers, live music and a spectacular evening on Moosehead Lake.
Suggested donation for the cocktail hour only is $25.
The sunset cruise is $50 per person and includes a Squaw Mountain life ticket voucher that can be used by the ticket holder or donated to the local learn-to-ski program, also in Tunney King’s name.
Tickets will be sold at the gangway on the night of the cruise. For more information, visit the Friends of Squaw Facebook page.
