Edward E. Lankist

    GUILFORD – Edward E. Lankist, 74, died August 12, 2013, at Kindred Hospital in Brighton, MA. He was born March 15, 1939, in Guilford, the son of William L. and Hilda (Priest) Lankist. Edward had worked at Guilford Industries for many years. He attended St. Thomas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft, where he was active with the Knights of Columbus; he was also a member of the Grange.
    He is survived by a son, Edward Jody Lankist of Bushnell, FL; two brothers, Frank Lankist of Enterprise, AL, and William Lankist of China Village; three grandchildren, Ashley, Kimberly and Elizabeth Lankist; and a great-grandson, Elix Donahue.
    Friends visited with the family 5-7 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A graveside memorial service was conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at the family lot in Dover Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
