MEAR encourages county chapters to work with another organization in the community.  This year Piscataquis chapter decided on the Angel Project.  Members Janice Ellis and Minnie McCormick did the shopping and took the items to Charlotte White on Aug. 9 which were accepted by Josie Porter, the Angels coordinator. Students were at the center selecting items that they had earned tickets for by doing chores at home. The association felt that they chose a very worthwhile Community Caring project.  Last year, the group purchased books about “911” for the area school libraries, and they are already looking forward to continuing this community service in 2014.
