American Flag ColorBLANCHARD TOWNSHIP, ME – Anthony P. Felos, Jr., 69, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA, after a short illness. He was the loving husband of Kristine “Tina” Nielsen Felos. Born and raised in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School and The Massachusetts Maritime Academy on the USTS Bay State. He was a resident of Blanchard Township, ME, for the past 27 years, previously living in Stoughton for over 40 years.
    Tony was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Merchant Marines, proudly serving as lieutenant on the submarine USS Cavalla and the Navy Oiler USS Caloosahatchee AO-98. After his naval service, he worked for the family business, Twin-Kee Rainwear in Stoughton, as an accountant.
    Tony ran the Boston Marathon and hiked Glacier National Park with his son.
    After retirement and moving to Maine, he enjoyed horseback riding and continued to be an active outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, camping and practicing martial arts. Tai-Chi was the most enduring, from beginning in Boston classes, he practiced his form throughout his life.
    In addition to his wife, he will also be sadly missed by his son, Anthony P. Felos III of Sharon and his daughter, Suzanne E. Felos Soules of Texas. He was the brother of Janet Jones of Marshfield and Elaine Felos Ostrander of Harwich and was predeceased by his half-sisters, Maryanne Felos DeCoster, Theresa Felos Perry; his half-brother, Chester Gasunas; and his parents, Anthony and Helen Felos of Stoughton. Tony is also survived by his former wife, Robin Felos of West Bridgewater; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
