PO Dwight Strout OB    DOVER-FOXCROFT – Dwight Russell Strout, 87, husband of Frances (Bell) Strout, passed away peacefully July 3, 2013, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born December 8, 1925, in Charleston, the son of Perley and Dorothy (Hanson) Strout.
    Dwight worked for many years as a machinist for Fay & Scott. A member of the Pony Pulling Association, he was a pony pulling enthusiast, and enjoyed traveling the circuit of fairs in Maine.
    In addition to his loving wife of 68 years, Frances, Dwight is survived by five daughters, Rachel Berce, Beverly LaCroix and her husband, Larry, Joanne Sincyr and her husband, Jack, Lindy Warren, and Cindy Curran and her husband, Peter; 10 grandchildren, Eric, Dawn, Debbie, David, Dani, Jason, Billy, Nicole, Becky and Ryan; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Carr. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Mallett; a brother, Charles Strout; and a sister, Marjorie Greene.
    Friends were invited to visit with the family 2-4 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Burial was in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
