Sebec Village Associates plan a full slate of events for July 4
SEBEC — The Sebec Village Associates are excited to share July 4 with their neighbors and friends. All are invited to participate in the array of activities being held in Sebec Village.

CELEBRATING THE FOURTH OF JULY IN SEBEC — The Sebec Village Associates will once again be hosting a day of events on Thursday, July 4, with proceeds from the festivities benefiting the Reading Room. The parade through the village of Sebec lines up at 9 a.m.
The morning on Thursday, July 4 will begin at 7:30 with a breakfast at the Sebec Village Community Church. A 5K road race commences at 8 a.m., and then the fun-filled community parade lines up at 9 a.m. A USCA-sanctioned canoe race will be held at 10:30 a.m. Bring the kids and bring your appetite because baked goods and beverages will be available all morning.
The Sebec Village Associates’ ever-popular chicken barbecue will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A choice of chicken or hot dogs will also be served and the meal includes cole slaw, potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans, a roll, and a beverage. You can eat in the village or take your feast home. Plenty of activities are planned for the kids, including games and pony rides.
All of the proceeds from the July 4 activities support the Reading Room.
On Saturday, July 6 Jay and Tammy Roy will return to the Sebec 4 Corners Event Center for a concert from 7-9 p.m. For more information on the show, please call 564-2772 or 564-8526.
Mark your calendars as Saturday, Aug, 17 is the community breakfast and silent auction. Donations are being sought from businesses and individuals for the auction. Anyone willing to assist should contact Barbara at 564-3232.
