BOOK CLUB SALUTES THE SIXTIES — Raising their glasses of Tang, members of Abbott Memorial Library’s Book Club saluted the 1960s on May 29 when the club met to discuss “Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream” by Doris Kearns (Goodwin). A lighthearted look at some 1960s TV commercials was enjoyed before members plunged into a serious discussion of the era of the Great Society and the war in Vietnam. The book club always welcomes new members. For more information, contact Liz at 924-7292.
