EAGLES PERCHED AROUND THE DIAMOND — SeDoMoCha Middle School softball infielders are Kilee Hutchinson at first,  Becca Anderson at second, Alli Bourget at third and Abbi Bourget pitching.

Eagles started off the week with a trip to Greenville to face the Lakers on a very cold spring afternoon. Jenna Clukey pitched four scoreless innings. Abbi Bourget took over the pitching duties in the fifth and pitched three solid innings. Starting infielders for the Eagles were Kendra Ewer behind the plate,  Makenzie Beaudry at third, Grace Bickford at shortstop, Becca Anderson at second and Brianna Adkins on first. Eagles starting outfielders were Makaya Mccorrison in center, Abbi Bourget in left and Kiara Prescott in right.
The Eagles scored early and often on the Lakers with Bickford almost putting one over the fence. Clukey, Adkins and Maci Poulin also contributed to the offensive attack. Coach Anderson made a number of personnel changes throughout the game, giving Alli Bourget, Hannah Sprecher, Cailin Seavey, Kylie Dow, Maci Poulin, Mariah Poulin, Kylie Hutchinson, Lexi London and Sam Higgins a chance to show off their skills.
The second opponent of the week for the Eagles was the visiting Pirates. Starting in the infield for the Eagles was Adkins at first base, Anderson at second with Bickford at shortstop Alli Bourget at third and Ewer catching. In the outfield was Abbi Bourget in left, Mccorrison in center and Prescott in right field. Pitching for the Eagles was Clukey, who was solid through four innings striking out nine and allowing only one walk.
Prescott helped the defensive cause by tracking down a fly ball deep into foul territory. Kilee Dow also had a great catch in the field later in the game. The offensive attack was lead by Adkins who had a couple of great hits. Abbi and Alli Bourget also contributed with great at bats and aggressive base running.
Coach Anderson made several substitutions during the game. Makenzie Beaudry was brought in to pitch the fifth inning while Abbi Bourget came for the sixth and seventh to close out the game. Both pitchers threw many quality pitches keeping the Pirates at bay. Other substitutions were Alli Bourget getting time at shortstop, Kilee Hutchinson on first, Mariah Poulin and Cassie Panciera sharing the job at second, Sprecher on third, Seavey, Dow, London and Higgins all sharing the responsibilities for the outfield.
The Eagles were scheduled to close out the regular season vs. the Pirates in Guilford on the 28th.
