Historical society meeting June 5
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The next meeting of the Dover-Foxcroft Historical Society will be held on Wednesday evening, June 5. The society meets in the Gerrish Room at Thayer Parkway, the meeting beginning promptly at 7 p.m.
Members look forward to hearing a program presented by Estella Bennett from the Monson Historical Society. She will speak about the Monson slate quarries — the history, the quarries, the people who worked there and the sad stories of their lives and deaths. This is an excellent program and all are invited to attend.
