Bertha Turner celebrated her 99th birthday at the Hibbard Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Dover-Foxcroft on May 16.

Turner was born in Lowell, Maine in 1914, the oldest of six children. She had 10 children of which there was one set of triplets that she and her husband Frank raised. Two of Turner’s daughters, Gloria Grant and Regina Jackson, were with her to celebrate with a luncheon in the library.
