Welcome to Harmony Camps in Piscataquis County

Parents of children, ages 6 to 9 are encouraged to be on the look-out for registration forms for the annual Harmony Camps which are sponsored by Womancare and held

in six of the communities served by the organization. Through role play and creative activities, children will learn how to deal with bullying and how to develop healthy relationships with friends. Children who participate in the camps will have the opportunity to carry out a community service project with the help of teen mentors to assist camp coordinators with activities. Children also learn how to make healthy snacks, which will be provided daily.
Each camp ends with a special event for family and friends. This provides the children with an opportunity to showcase their new skills and share stories, songs and crafts.
The Greenville Harmony Camp will be held at the Greenville Union Evangelical Church, on June 18, 19 and 20. Womancare will also host camps at the Milo United Methodist Church June 25, 26 and 27 Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church, July 9, 10 and 11; Dexter Knights of Columbus July 16, 17 and 18; and Guilford United Methodist Church July 23, 24 and 25.  Each camp is held from 9 a.m. to noon each day and snacks will be provided.
Registration forms have been sent home with your child from each of the schools. Tuition helps offset the cost of T-shirts and supplies, and scholarships for the camp are available. If you have any questions or need more information, call Womancare at 564-8165.
