American Flag ColorGUILFORD – Millard G. Ordway, 90, died May 5, 2013, at his home in Guilford. He was born in Sangerville, March 14, 1923, the son of James and Thelma (Austin) Ordway.
    Millard served with the 8th and 9th Air Force during World War II, and was awarded the Bronze Star medal. He retired after working for 33 years for the Bell Telephone System later known as New England Telephone. Millard was a member of the Abner Wade Masonic Lodge, the American Legion in Sangerville and was a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
    He was predeceased by his wife, Rachel (Blanchard) Ordway; and two sisters, Gloria Hall, and Mildred Howard.
    He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Grotton and her husband, Anthony of Unity, Pamela Turner and her husband, Dana of Monmouth, and Carla Watt and her husband, Scott of Guilford; six grandchildren, Daryl Wentworth and his wife, Kristen, Lori Aube, Melinda Thomas, Marsha Thomas, Erik Watt and his wife, Kate, and Ian Watt and his wife, Alina; and nine great-grandchildren.
