NURSE OF THE YEAR
Darcy Merrill, RN was the recipient of Mayo Regional Hospital’s 2013 Nursing Excellence Award on May 6, part of the National Nurses’ Week activities. Merrill received the honor during a surprise ceremony in the Dover-Foxcroft hospital lobby.

The Nursing Excellence Award is a public recognition and commendation given to a staff nurse demonstrating clinical expertise, exemplary patient care and commitment to Mayo Regional Hospital, as well as continued personal professional development. Merrill received a letter of commendation and was invited to represent Mayo Regional Hospital at the Nurses’ Day Tea at the Blaine House in Augusta.
