Handy’s artwork honored
DEXTER — Anna Handy, a sophomore at Dexter Regional High School has been awarded Honorable Mention in the District 3 High School Art Contest sponsored by the GFWC/Dexter Women’s Literary Club.
Handy’s oil pastel, at above, depicting a scene off the coast of Acadia was chosen among artworks by students from Dexter, Newport, Pittsfield, Dover-Foxcroft, Winterport, Bangor, Hartland and Patten. This district competition is the next level after the Dexter Women’s Literary Club local art contest at the Abbott Memorial Library.
