Dover-Foxcroft

Senior Network celebrates five years

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Hard to believe that the Senior Network will be celebrating its fifth birthday this spring. Seems like only yesterday that we started meeting at the PRYMCA and then moved to the Morton Avenue Municipal Building where the program has been held ever since.

Seniors from all area towns are invited to a special potluck luncheon to celebrate this special day. Please plan to bring a small dish to share and come to the Morton Avenue Municipal Building in Dover-Foxcroft on Thursday, May 2 for a potluck luncheon from 11 a.m. to noon and then share in coffee and cake from 12-1 p.m. In the spirit of the Maine potluck – we will all share in the bounty of our collective main dishes, salads and desserts. Members will talk about what Senior Network offers to them, and invite others to join in the weekly luncheon meetings.
On Mondays, our meal is provided in partnership with the Community Café and asks for a donation of up to $4 for this wonderfully prepared hot meal. After lunch, members visit, play cards, work on jigsaw puzzles and other games. On Thursdays, it is our regular potluck meal (sometimes full of surprises) which is often followed by a speaker. There is no charge for the Senior Network.
We look forward to seeing old and new friends at our birthday celebration. You may come to the rear of the building and enter through the back door, or come to the main entrance of the municipal building and follow the signs to the Community Room.  We look forward to welcoming you.
Five years, imagine that. Come and learn what we are all about. There is always room for more. For more information, please contact Sue Mackey Andrews at 564-8245.
