PO Reginald Blanchard OBAmerican Flag ColorCLINTON – Reginald Lewis Blanchard, 88, passed away on April 6, 2013, at home with his family. He was born on February 14, 1925, in Blanchard, the son of Carl F. and Nina (Patten) Blanchard.
    Reginald graduated from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, ME, and was a World War II veteran. Through the years, he worked for Woolen Mills in Guilford, Corinna & Clinton, Maine, and as a construction worker in Florida.
    He is survived by two sons, Edward P. Blanchard of Clinton, and Stephen D. Blanchard of Dawsonville, Georgia; a daughter, Susan Johnson and husband, Wayne of East Greenbush, New York; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Blanchard.
    Reginald was predeceased by his wife, Caroline; daughter, Cassandra Lovejoy; his long time companion, Joyce; his parents; three sisters, Rachel Ordway, Karlene Scales and Barbara Mason; one brother, Sheldon Blanchard.
    There will be no public visiting hours or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
    In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in his memory to The Alzheimer’s Foundation, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Arrangements under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, ME 04976.
