Center Theatre announces Summer Concert Series

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre is pleased to announce its 2013 Summer Concert Series.  Six different musical acts, in a variety of different genres, will perform at the Center Theatre from May to September. 

    “We are very excited about this year’s series,” says Executive Director Angela Bonacasa. “Not only because of the wide range of musical styles, but because without exception, they are truly amazing artists. It’s going to be an wonderful season of concerts here at the Center Theatre.”
    The concerts, which start at 8 p.m. include Jonathan Edwards Friday, May 3; McAuley, Horan, & O’Caoimh Friday, June 7; Aztec Two-Step (a kickoff to Maine Whoopie Pie Festival) Saturday, June 22; True Blues with Corey Harris, Guy Davis and Alvin Youngblood Hart Saturday, July 13; David Bromberg Quintet Saturday, Aug. 10; and Suzy Bogguss Saturday, Sept. 14.
    Tickets can be purchased by calling the Center Theatre Box Office at 564-8943, stopping by the theatre at 20 East Main Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday or by going to the website at www.centertheatre.org.
