PINWHEELS TO PREVENT CHILD ABUSE

GFWC/Miosac Club members Leona Dow and Minnie McCormick placed pinwheels at the Dover-Foxcroft United Methodist Church and at the flagpole at Save-A-Lot.

Members donated the pinwheels in 2012 in observance of Prevent Child Abuse America. April 16 is the big pinwheel day in 2013 but the observance lasts for the month of April and the pinwheel is the symbol for this cause. Anyone can place pinwheels in their gardens or add to the ones placed by the club. Children are our most important asset and we need to do what we can to protect them.
