Maple Syrup Brunch on Saturday

    SHIRLEY — Come and celebrate the 17th annual Maple Syrup Brunch on Saturday, April 6, beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m., at the town hall on the West Road by the Shirley Community Church. Escape winter blues, enjoy delicious cooking, meet old friends and make new friends and savor the freshly made maple syrup. Join us again for a “taste of spring.”

    Admission is by donation,  proceeds benefiting the Shirley Community Church. Join us at the Shirley Town Hall for pure Shirley-made maple syrup, a gift from Charlie Baker’s Sugar House, to pour on freshly cooked plain and/or blueberry pancakes, two kinds of beans, a delicious breakfast casserole, hash brown potatoes, an assortment of homemade muffins and biscuits, fruit, fruit juices, hot chocolate, tea and coffee, This feast will satisfy even the greatest appetites. 
    After brunch, cruise up the hill to visit Charlie Baker’s Sugar House where Charlie may still be “boiling off the syrup.”
