McKUSICK, Thelma Jeanette (Bearce), 94, of Milo & Guilford, at Bangor, March 19, 2013. A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo.

    MILO & GUILFORD – Thelma “Ma” Jeanette (Bearce) McKusick, 94, wife of the late Durgin A. McKusick, died March 19, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born October 25, 1918, in Guilford, the daughter of Harold and Wilda (Merrill) Bearce.
    She attended Guilford High School and married Durgin in 1936 in Abbot. They were married for 65 years. When living in Guilford, Thelma attended to her husband’s filling station and did the bookkeeping while also raising five children. Later, when she moved to Milo, she worked in the Milo school cafeteria and at Basketville. She was a past member of the Zephyrus Club and the Methodist Church in Guilford, and a treasurer of the Secret Pals Club in Milo. Thelma’s door was always open to anyone who entered. She had many, many friends and was loved by all. She loved fishing, dancing, playing cards, knitting and crocheting, eating dandelion greens and partridge, and enjoyed cooking for her family. 
    Thelma was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Imogene Lucariillo and Arlene Manoogian.
    She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Lavigne and her husband, Thomas of Beaver Cove; four sons, Philip McKusick and his significant other, Susan Darke of Peabody, MA, and Barefoot Bay, FL, Paul McKusick and his wife, Jean of Milo, Peter McKusick and his significant other, Renie Goulette of Blanchard, and Perry McKusick and his wife, Mandy of Greenville Jct; and four generations of grandchildren: Roberta, Robert, Rita, Randy, Rocky, Rusty, Rene, Jimmy, Mariah, Patience, Jim Jim, Landon, Dillon, Melissa, Anthony, Anna, Abbie, Amy, Ava, Mannie, Matt, Jaime, Kaitlyn, Michael, Madisyn, Khloee, Vanessa, Jenna, Sophia, Ashley, McKenzie, Mason, Rieland, Rebecca, Rachel, Holly, Henry, Donna, Dean, Lukas, Larhamie, Layah, Greg, Tami, Staci, Casey, Jennifer, Ashley, Aaron, Tristen, Colin, Peyton, Clara Jean, Dawn, Michael, Harlie, Jacob, Kelly, Jesse, Aviana, Shayden, Dahlia, Durgin, Kirsten, Sarah, Andrew, David, Nikki, and Kirk.
    She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Tigger.
