Artisans needed for Heritage Balloon Festival

DOVER-FOXCROFT — A large part of the Piscataquis Heritage Hot Air Balloon Festival is the “Heritage” section which will be filled with local artisans and crafters who will be creating, demoing and selling their products. We are focused in the hand made. In the Trades section, talented tradesmen and tradeswomen will be demoing their trades and many will offer hands-on opportunities to the public. We are encouraging youth to check out the Trades area for future career opportunities. In our Agriculture & Forestry section, we are looking for display units such as old equipment, local growers, and lecturers about the history of our area. The sections will be a variety of both open air and covered spaces.

If you are interested in being a part of the festival please go to the website www.PiscataquisBalloonFestival.org and click on the Schedules then select your area of interest.  For general inquiries email: pisballoonfest@gmail.com or call Jack Clukey at 564-3318 or Jody Arno at 735-4515.
The Piscataquis Heritage Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held on Friday, May 31, Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2 at the Charles A. Chase Junior Memorial Field with additional parking and shuttle bus at the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds. Founded by the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Charities and the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce, this festival is a celebration of local talent in arts, crafts, agriculture, the work of non-profit organizations, and the opportunities available in the Maine Highlands Region.  Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pisballoonfest and visit the website for the latest information at www.PiscataquisBalloonFestival.org or follow on Twitter at PHHABF.
