CALMING PRESENCE

Piscataquis Community Secondary School Principal Kevin Harrington welcomes Piscataquis County Sheriff Investigator Allen Emerson into the school on March 19 to monitor the hallways for unsafe behavior.

The sheriff’s office offered to assist the school in protecting their students after a fight between two eighth-grade students occurred on March 8. Parents have complained about an unsafe environment for the past two years due to the emergence of a gang called the “Green Saints.”
