“We’re thrilled to be in the top five,” said Patrick Myers, coordinator of the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival, “We’re in some great company and as of the last time I checked we were leading in the voting. People can vote once a day, so we’re encouraging everyone to go to www.MaineWhoopiePieFestival.com and click on the About.com Finalist logo to help us toward sweet victory.”
The 2013 Maine Whoopie Pie Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 22. Along with the vendors, bakers, rides for the kids, games and other attractions the festival will again be having live music.
“With the help of Bangor Savings Bank we’ll be bringing the Steve Jones Band to headline the festival. We’re also going to have the Unified String Theory and the Monson General Store Jammers on stage this year along with some other surprises,” said Myers. “We’re happy to have live music back at the festival this year at no extra charge to festival goers.”
