Albert Sands

PO Albert Sands    DOVER-FOXCROFT – Albert Sands passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Hibbard Nursing home, February 3, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Flora M. (Bolduc) Sands; two daughters; four sons; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Donations in Albert’s name can be made to the Kiwanis Club, PO Box 615, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426, Attn: Bob Moore. Albert’s passion for life is reflected by the following poem:

The roads are paved with coins galore

The rivers lined with gold

With fields of grass so green and tall

Or so I have been told

The sky above is blue and clear

And blows a gentle breeze

And tiny silver leaves are flown upon the white birch trees

A hunched and peaceful man bends down beside the water’s edge

Forever more to search for gold and left alone to dredge
