FOOD BANK CONTRIBUTION
Residents at the Sylvia Ross Home, assisted living community in Bangor selected the Milo Food Bank as this year’s holiday charity. Residents, through their resident council process, elected to support a local charity that really helps Mainers make it through the winter and helps all year long as well — it soon became evident to the group that the Milo Food Bank was a perfect match for what they wanted to support.
The residents collected $180 by pledging pocket change, writing checks and dedicating bingo winnings to the project. Joyce Bailey, a Sylvia Ross resident of Milo and former postal carrier in the area for many years, was chosen to present the funds to Larry Keef and Lew Dyer of the food bank board. Resident activities at the Sylvia Ross Home are supported by Life Style Coordinator Dottie England. Pictured is, from left, Dyer, Keef and Bailey.
