Cartooning workshops Feb. 22
Maine cartoonist Jeff Pert who created “Bob the Lobster” plans to “fire up kids’ imaginations” when he puts on cartoon workshops at the Thompson Free Library and Guilford Memorial Library during February vacation week. Pert’s humorous cartoons are recognizable on merchandise sold throughout New England and the U.S.
The workshops will focus on how to draw funny pictures and tell a story through them. The sessions are especially suitable for middle school students. The programs will be held on Friday, Feb 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thompson Free Library and 1 p.m. at the Guilford Memorial Library. There are openings at both libraries, but only four at the Guilford library and limited space at the Dover-Foxcroft library. Contact the libraries for more information at 564-3350 or 876-4547.
