Three FA alums compete at Maine Track/Field college championship

    GORHAM — A trio of Foxcroft Academy graduates were among the athletes who were a part of the 45th Maine State Indoor Track and Field Championship Feb. 1 at the University of Southern Maine.

    Bates College senior Graham Pearsall, of Guilford, finished fourth in the 3,000 with a time of 8 minutes, 52.31 seconds. Pearsall helped the Bobcats win the men’s team title, as Bates scored 207 points to finish 68 points ahead of second place Bowdoin College.

    On the women’s side USM sophomore Emily Panciera, of Monson, came in sixth in the 400 at 1:03.97. Panciera also ran the second leg of the third-place 4×200 relay, as she and her three teammates combined for a time of 1:49.95.

    USM freshman Chelsie Oldfield, of Dover-Foxcroft, finished 13th in the 600 with a time of 1:48.81.

    The Huskies placed fourth out of six women’s teams with a score of 110 points.
