BOSS, Richard D., 83, of Dover-Foxcroft, February 2, 2013. Burial will be in the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of The Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.

American Flag ColorDOVER-FOXCROFT – Richard D. Boss, 83, husband of the late Phyllis (Cookson) Boss, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family February 2, 2013, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born May 1, 1929, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Stanley and Ethel (Dunham) Boss.

    Dick worked for Central Maine Power Co. for 38 years in the Meter Department. A U.S. Army veteran, Dick proudly served his country in the Korean War. He served on the Dover-Foxcroft Water District Board and for the Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department. Dick enjoyed being out in his community and especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities.

    He is survived by four sons, Steven and his wife, Stacy, Michael and his wife, Debbie, Paul “PJ” and his fiancé, Nancy Albert, and Calvin and his wife, Teresa; eight grandchildren, Adam, Brienne, Justine, Hannah, Kelsey, Sarah, Kristen, and Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Bentley; and a brother-in-law, Lyle Cookson.

    The family wishes to thank Hibbard Nursing Home and its staff for the special care given to Dick.

    Burial will be in the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Care of Maine, Care of Eastern Maine Charities, P.O.
