Free physical therapy assessments at Results Physical Therapy and Wellness Center

DEXTER — Back pain is the 10th largest medical expense in the U.S. According to WebMD, 35 billion dollars is spent on back pain per year. The National Institutes of Health reported back pain affects one-fourth of the adult population at least one day in a three-month period.

Typically people first experience back pain between the ages of 30 to 40, but generally progresses the older one gets. The pain can range from a dull ache to a sudden sharp pain that can be incapacitating. These alarming statistics are just one of the reasons why Carol Lane decided to open Results Physical Therapy and Wellness Center in 2006.

“We will be offering free assessments and providing tips for such conditions as back pain, shoulder problems, arthritis and balance challenges,” said Lane, physical therapist and owner of Results. “It’s our way of giving back to the community while we celebrate our seventh year of business.”

Results will be holding their bi-annual Patient Appreciation Day and providing free physical therapy assessments in each of their three locations at 797 Wilson Street in Brewer on Jan. 29; 1012 West Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft on Jan. 30 and 51 High Street in Dexter on Jan. 31.  These events are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, or to set up an appointment for a free assessment, please call 992-4042.
