Twenty two from FA to take part in honors music festival

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — Twenty two students from Foxcroft Academy have been selected to take part in the District V Honors Music Festival.

 

    The festival takes place over two days and is comprised of three ensembles of the best musicians from the region’s high schools, with participants selected based on their musicianship, tone, range and their director’s comments.

    Eight Foxcroft Academy students were selected for the District V Honors Orchestra: Ryan Dong and Martin Yang for first violin, Vickie Shen, Mindy Fenn, Winnie Li and Jessica Curtain for second violin, Raychel Poisson for viola and Katie Buerger for cello.

    For band Annie Rich has been accepted on flute, Jordan Allen and Savannah Scudder on clarinet, Racquel Bozzelli on contrabass clarinet, Findlay Feng on oboe, Travis Vincent on alto sax, Dexter Canning and Sam Lunn on trombone and Chase Novak on tuba.

    The chorus has accepted Anna Hansen, Rebecca Strout, Gabi Henderson, Aaron Provost and Paul Birtwistle.
