Beckett, Dorothy E., 87, of Guilford, on December 20, 2012. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Powers Cemetery in West Pittsfield. Arrangements are in the care of the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, Pittsfield.

    Guilford — Dorothy E. Beckett, 87, died peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2012, in Dover-Foxcroft.
    Dot was born on February 12, 1925, the daughter of Ralph and Annie (Robb) Libby Sr.  She was employed for several years at the local shoe shops.  She had her own farm in Harmony and enjoyed raising goats.  She loved all things outdoors, especially walking in the woods and hunting.  She was extremely proud of her 12 point buck weighing in at 225 pounds. 
    She is survived by her niece, Eva Jane Hachey of Gardiner; nephews, Waynard Folsom of Florida and Paul Gosbee of New Hampshire; grand niece, Karen Gosbee of New Hampshire; and special friends, who loved Dot as a mother, Linda Castonguay of Dover-Foxcroft and Melvin and Cheryle Gray of Dover-Foxcroft.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Elton Beckett, brother, R. Elison Libby; two sisters, Mary Jacobellis and Reba Folsom; and niece, Florence Gosbee.
    The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. William Bisbee, Dr. Elisa Thompson, Francis Smith and the staff at Hibbard Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion given to Dorothy.
    A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Powers Cemetery in West Pittsfield, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
