Dexter Community Band welcomes members for the spring season

    DEXTER — The Dexter Community Band will resume weekly rehearsals at  6 p.m. on  Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Ridge View Community School music room. New and returning members of all ages are welcome, regardless of playing ability.     Spring selections  will include  “The Music Man,” “Pennsylvania Polka,” and another H.J. Crosby march.
     Free instruments are available on loan with free instruction. The band is also seeking volunteers to assist in band support such as equipment management and in the music library.     A wind, brass, and percussion ensemble, the band plays a variety of pieces from traditional to contemporary.
