DDATT to host forum for saving on home heating bills

    DEXTER — The Dexter Dover Area Towns in Transition organization will host an open forum on ways  homeowners and renters can save on the cost of home/apartment heating. The meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8  at the Abbott Memorial Library as part of a monthly discussion sponsored by DDATT.
     The free-ranging exchange of ideas on how to save heating dollars will begin with a short overview of the basics of heating buildings. The forum will then move on to comments, experiences and suggestions about home heating methods.
   Other topics include home insulation, securing leaky areas, improving stove and furnace performance, choosing more local fuels and keeping the chimney clean. For more information call 277-4221.
