Dover-Foxcroft Firefighters Association Ice Fishing Derby returns this weekend

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Anglers are invited to Sebec Lake for the 12th annual Dover-Foxcroft Firefighters Association Ice Fishing Derby on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26.

Derby hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, with the weigh station located at Greeley’s Landing for the various derby categories for adult and youth entrants.

Registration tickets are one for $3 or two for $5. Tickets include derby entry and shore prizes.

Tickets — which include derby entry and shore prizes — are available at Mountain’s Market, Misty Morning Bait Shop, C & J Variety, Sebec Country Store, Snow’s Saw Shop fire department members and at the weigh station during the derby. For more information, please contact Rick at 207-242-2950.

All state of Maine ice fishing laws and rules will apply.

Breakfast and lunch concessions will be provided by the Bowerbank Fire Department from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days at the public beach and across the lake at the Bowerbank Fire Station on Saturday. The menu includes breakfast sandwiches, chili, beans, hot dogs, burgers, fries, and hot sausages.
