Juvenile flees after crashing into Abbot home

A juvenile driver fled after crashing a Jeep into a house in Abbot on Wednesday afternoon.

The juvenile appears to have been speeding down Main Road about 4:40 p.m. before veering off and smashing into a home, according to the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office.

“Speed and inexperience were factors [in the crash], but the main factor was swerving to avoid a deer in the road,” Sheriff Robert Young said Thursday.
