Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund grant earmarked for new Greenville waterfront park

GREENVILLE — The Moosehead Lake Region Economic Development Corporation (MLREDC) is pleased to report that it has been approved for a $16,000 grant from the Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund (MOHF) for the Moosehead Lake Waterfront  Park Dock Project.

“We are so pleased and grateful for the Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund grant,” says Steve Levesque, president of the MLREDC. “It will be applied to the purchase of a dock system and installed at the new Crafts Landing and Park in downtown Greenville. These docks will serve boats and seaplanes and will be available free to the public coming from the Lake to shop, dine, or visit. This is a transformative initiative that will support access to and from the water and will help bring vitality to the region.”

Regarding this grant to Crafts Landing and Park Carol Gay, secretariat for MOHF wrote, “On behalf of the Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund Board, I wish you success in accomplishing the objectives of your project. It’s important that organizations, communities and local press are aware of the great programs MOHF is able to fund through the sale of the only lottery ticket that provides funding to wildlife and conservation groups in Maine.”
