A new Legislature with Sen. Davis

By Sen. Paul Davis, R-Sangerville

As I begin a new legislative session, I want to thank the people of Senate District 4 for once again putting your faith in me and allowing me to continue to serve you in Augusta.

Wednesday, Dec. 2, the 130th State Legislature was sworn in and all of the processes that follow the opening of a new session are underway.

One of those processes is the submission of new bills to introduce or change legislation and state laws. In years of service, I am now the senior Republican in the Legislature, so I know this process very well.

In the next few weeks legislators will submit their bills for the coming session and I want to be sure that you, the people of our region, are well represented. If you have any issues that you would like to see the State Legislature address, including any changes in state laws, rules or regulations, please contact me soon so that I can see to it that your voice is heard in Augusta.

Legislators must submit new bills by Friday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m.
To do so, you can call my office at 207-287-1505 or send me an email at paul.davis@legislature.maine.gov.
