Piscataquis County COVID-19 testing locations are moving

Plans are underway to move the Northern Light Mayo Hospital and Northern Light CA Dean Hospital COVID-19 testing sites, currently located on their respective campuses. Leaders anticipate that the new site will be up and running on Nov. 16.

“We have been working collaboratively with leaders at both hospitals on an efficient solution. The Northern Light Health Center in Sangerville has a very large parking lot that, if used, would not interfere with the day to day operations of the health center. This location is central for patients who travel to Greenville and Dover-Foxcroft for testing,” says Marie Vienneau, senior vice president at Northern Light Health and president for both Mayo Hospital and CA Dean Hospital.

The new structure will take the place of three temporary structures. Not only are we centralizing, we are moving to a semi-permanent, weather appropriate structure that we can reuse in the future. As we move into the colder months and prepare for snow, our current tent structures and reserved parking spots are not ideal.

The structure is physically similar in appearance to a two-car, drive through garage and will offer better protection for patients and staff from the weather.

To be tested, you must complete a screening, be scheduled, and registered before your arrival. Patients and community members should continue to call their primary care provider for screening. If you do not have a primary care provider, you are encouraged to call one of the following screening lines:

Monson: 207-997-2978;
