Fall flow updates

We “freshened” the flow at the Roach River today to 180 cfs. It had dropped to 150 cfs over the past two weeks as we lost lake elevation at First Roach Pond. We had hoped to get some rain this month but no luck and the forecast is still quite dry. We still need a little water in the lake to provide flows for the spawning activity next month.

Also, the drawdown at Sebec Lake will begin on Oct. 1. In the past, the drawdown would occur closer to the 15th. The lake will drop quickly under these dry conditions, so plan accordingly if you need to get your boat or docks out of the water.
