Fockens and Raynes help Ponies sweep cross country opener

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Foxcroft Academy runners had first-place performances in both the boys and girls races to help the Ponies sweep the 2020 opening cross country meet on Sept. 24.

 

In the boys’ standings, Foxcroft accumulated 23 points to best four other teams. Lee Academy came in second with a score of 32 points, and Dexter Regional High School, Central High School of Corinth and Schenck High School of East Millinocket each had no score.

 

Foxcroft’s Caleb Fockens and Ethan Linscott of Lee both covered the 5K-course in 18 minutes, 21.70 seconds to tie for first among a field of 27 runners.
