More than 4,700 lose power around Corinth

More than 4,700 people lost power late Monday night in Corinth and nearby communities.

 

The outage affected Alton, Atkinson, Bradford, Charleston, Corinna, Corinth, Dexter, Exeter, Garland, Glenburn, Hudson, Kenduskeag, Levant, Newburgh and Orneville Township, according to Emera Maine.

 

Emera Maine spokesperson Judy Long said Monday night that crews are investigating the outage’s cause and working to restore power.

 

As of 7:50 a.m., 4,758 were still without power in those communities, and no cause had been identified, according to Emera Maine.
