Center Theatre hosts live theater online

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre has announced that it will be hosting a live online performance of Bobby Keniston’s comedic play “Waiting to be Probed: A Love Story” at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 2.

The play focuses on a socially awkward man and woman (Dan Sharrow and Lori Knack) who are abducted by aliens (Cary Libby and Erin Cabot). The couple meet for the first time onboard the alien’s spaceship. This awkward situation leads to both comedic moments and heartfelt exchanges between the two. Are they destined to fall in love, or are they just stuck together until their captors are done with them? The play is written and directed by Keniston and produced with special permission of the playwright.

This live staged reading will be presented as a Zoom webinar with additional plans for livestreaming on Facebook and YouTube. The performance is free, but donations will be accepted online to support the Center Theatre while it is closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
