DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis Regional YMCA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mandy Adams as its new executive director/CEO, effective March 11. Adams was selected by the Y’s CEO search committee, following a 3-month search.

“Mandy’s extremely relevant marketing experience combined with years as a small business owner set her apart from other candidates. Her energy and enthusiasm were apparent right away and made her the clear choice to be the next leader of the Piscataquis Regional YMCA” said Bill Rayfield, PRYMCA board chair. “In only a few short years, Mandy has established herself as a well-known, key member of our community. I believe the PRYMCA is now well-positioned to expand our impact on our local communities.”

NEW PRYMCA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR — The Piscataquis Regional YMCA in Dover-Foxcroft is pleased to announce the appointment of Mandy Adams as its new executive director/CEO, effective March 11.

“I am so excited to accept the position of the new executive director/CEO of PRYMCA,” said Adams. “I have fallen in love with the Piscatiquis County community and am thrilled to get the opportunity to dive in and work at the Y. I am extremely excited to get started and make a really great little Y even more fantastic!”

Adams comes to the PRYMCA with 20 years of demonstrated success in her career, most recently working for News Center Maine in Bangor, as an account executive. While there, Adams’ work included collaborations with community and business leaders throughout Central and Northern Maine to identify and implement the best, most effective marketing strategies to meet their needs. She has extensive experience in helping businesses prepare targeted campaigns using television, social media, and other platforms. One specific project that established Adams as a leader in our community was a collaboration with business and town leaders that resulted in production of a television commercial highlighting the many attractions in our region. Prior to that, she spent 10 years as owner of a small business employing 12-15 people in her community.

Adams has recognized expertise in strategic thinking, marketing, team development, fiscal management and operations.

Rayfield concludes, “We could not be more excited about the PRYMCA’s next chapter with Mandy as our CEO. We look forward to welcoming her as our leader; we do so with the confidence that she will build upon our Y colleagues’ ongoing efforts to enrich the lives of the community members we serve across the region.”

The Piscataquis Regional YMCA is dedicated to promoting healthy spirit, mind and body along with core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility through programs and services for all. At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We believe lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together.
